First of all, try to tone down your CFLAGS. Please read http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/desktop/gnome/gnome-policy.xml#doc_chap2 If you could try to do a revdep-rebuild. It looks like you updated evolution-data-server which usually breaks gnome-panel. you need to check if anything is still running after you do ctrl+alt+backspace. The panel failing to register is often a sign of bonobo-activation-server not dying. you also need to check/attach your .xsession-errors setting to needinfo 'till reported get us some news |
