You have some stale junk somewhere, fix it. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 149918 *** *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 149918 *** ... (In reply to comment #4) > ... > This is not a duplicate bug; it is a new one. I have already re-emerged emul-linux-x86-gtklibs several times (as other places on the internet indicate to do so). I have also tried to make a symbolic link to no avail. One this that I notices was that the error from firefox references libs in the pango/1.4.0 directory (firefox-bin:21100): Pango-WARNING **: /emul/linux/x86/usr/lib/pango/1.4.0/modu les/pango-basic-fc.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or director y However, faraclas@localhost ~ $ ls /emul/linux/x86/usr/lib/pango/ 1.5.0 There is no 1.4.0 version of pango installed. I tried copying the 1.5.0 directory to a new one named 1.4.0 but it didn't work either. This is about thie limit of my diagnostic abilities. Please help! And again, this is a NEW bug, not the same as the other ones. Please make sure your /etc/pango/i686-pc-linux-gnu/pango.modules is unmodified from the emul libs package, because it does contain the 1.5.0 files.. How can I fix it? I edited /etc/pango/i686-pc-linux-gnu/pango.modules and replaced all of the references to 1.4.0 with 1.5.0. Now I can see the text. However, I still have the error firefox-bin:9437): Gtk-WARNING **: Error loading icon: Unable to load image-loading module: /emul/linux/x86/usr/lib/g tk-2.0/2.4.0/loaders/libpixbufloader-png.so: /emul/linux/x86/usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.4.0/loaders/libpixbufloader-png.so: can not open shared object file: No such file or directory I have these in my sustem under the ls /emul/linux/x86/usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/loaders/ Is there a similar file I can edit to get this fixed too?? This will be good for a short fix but this bug needs to be fixed. This was a fresh installation that had no errors until the /emul stuff started pointing in the wrong places. Ok. I fixed this by editing /etc/gtk-2.0/i686-pc-linux-gnu/gdk-pixbuf.loaders again replacing 2.4.0 with 2.10.0. I saw that gtk.immodules had the same problem but I will leave it alone for the time being. Whoever is maintaining these bugs, the real cause for this seems to be the automatic generation of these files pointing to the wrong 32-bit emul libraries. Once they are pointed properly, everything works fine. this has been fixed |
