Looks like emerging squid 2.6.x brokes transparent caching,
if I reinstall 2.5.x then all works at it should.

Since this is stable package, something like this should never happend?

Hmmm, emerge -pv cups output? You get some errors? Your configuration? We are lacking paranormal abilities, sorry...
