Hi, 
 
after an upgrade to KDE3.1 I encounter crashes in KVIRC beta2. Reemerging it (or beta1) 
doesn't help. 
I get a segfault everytime I run it. Here is the backtrace:

I'm not sure if this one has anything to do with bug 13823 but to answer a question from this 
bug: This happens no matter if a config dir exists or not.

This happened to me, too, but a recompile of KVIrc fixed the problem.

I tried that, too, no change here. Even tried to compile Beta 1 and after that beta2.

I am also getting the same error even after multiple emerges of beta1 and beta2.

kvirc beta2 crashes on startup. 
 
My setup currently involved KDE 3.1 
 
I started kvirc from shell and I got these messsages:

It crashes at differn't points... that particular time it crashed just after
