What about new gnump3d? 1.0 is old, very old, too old.

ebuild for gnump3d-2.2

based on 1.0 ebuild.
gnump3d 2.x is written in perl (1.0 was C++), so made quite a lot changes

Couple hours of hacking and here it is, gnump3d-2.2 ebuild. I had to made some changes to the program itself to get the PID for init.d script (writes pidfile to /var/run/gnump3d.pid after fork()). Also some minor changes, see the patch file.
