I couldn't find any ebuild for WhizzyTeX. It should be part of gentoo. It allows to edit latex document in meacs and have an active-dvi windows showing the document in live.

No progress here for 1 year, closing WONTFIX.

Feel free to reopen with an ebuild.

improved ebuild

Improvements over the previous proposed ebuild:
  - follow Gentoo layout
  - integrate with Gentoo site-lisp
  - set VARTEXFONTS, etc to avoid sandbox problems
  - remove explicit Emacs dependency

Requires patch (next attachment)
