I remember something like: "file genpatch... not foundon the server" maybe this helps. The reporter did not provide the installprofile.xml that was used, but I can only assume that you used the same setup as the 2nd person in this bug. What's happening is that there is some package you selected in your extra packages that *requires* kernel sources. It tries to pull in gentoo-sources-2.6.17-r5, which is the latest in the portage snapshot that is provided on the LiveCD. That snapshot is already 3-4 months out of date. That kernel is no longer in the "live" portage tree, which means that the necessary distfiles for it are no longer on the mirrors. If you want to use the snapshot, you need to use the Networkless option or at least the GRP option. This is not an installer bug. *** Bug 157798 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
