Well, no one modified the digest in a very long time and I just checked it against a freshly downloaded tarball, the md5 is right, so your tarball must have gotten corrupted (which is exactly *why* we have md5 in the first place). Try deleting your tarball and downloading it from another mirror. Tried two differnet mirrors - didn Tried two differnet mirrors - didnĀ“t work for me Please tell me the URL from were you downloaded the tarball Thanks! Then it looks like you have a bigger problem, if it isn't a corruption on mirrors or on your download. I used http://mirror.gentoo.no/distfiles/tetex-texmf-3.0.tar.gz but really, any mirror should work... There was some problem a while ago where the md5 tool broke, and hence all verifications failed (I can't remember the exact problem, but you can probably find something about it in the forums and/or mailinglists). Try to update your system tools if the problem persists. At last I tried http://distfiles.gentoo.org/distfiles/tetex-texmf-3.0.tar.gz now everything is OK But - for instance - on mirror http://gentoo.inode.at/distfiles/tetex-texmf-3.0.tar.gz there is obvious a wrong file Searching with google for tetex-texmf-3.0.tar.gz there are many different MD5 for that file - this is a little bit scary! |
