Description Thomas Capricelli 2006-11-19 10:24:02 UTC
first, the exact problem :
------
% sancho
Fontconfig warning: line 32: unknown element "cachedir"
Fontconfig warning: line 33: unknown element "cachedir"
Fontconfig warning: "/etc/fonts/conf.d/80-delicious.conf", line 18: invalid match target "scan"
./sancho-bin: symbol lookup error: /emul/linux/x86/usr/lib/libcairo.so.2: undefined symbol: FT_GlyphSlot_Embolden
------

until yesterday, sancho was working perfectly on this computer. According to genlop :

% genlop -l | grep sancho
     Sat Jul 29 20:26:48 2006 >>> net-p2p/sancho-bin-0.9.4.57
     Sat Nov 18 23:42:15 2006 >>> net-p2p/sancho-bin-0.9.4.57

-> it appears twice, because i tried to re-install it after i've noticed it was broken.

% genlop -l | grep emul
(...nothing else relevant with respect to the date the package broke)
     Sat Nov 18 22:53:09 2006 >>> app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-baselibs-2.5.3
     Sat Nov 18 22:54:46 2006 >>> app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-gtklibs-2.10.6.2

i can't say where this files /emul/linux/x86/usr/lib/libcairo.so.2 comes from ( equery belongs returns nothing).

I'm having a similar problem with acroread. Don't know if they are caused by the same thing yet though.
Comment 3 Olivier Crete (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-11-22 20:01:10 UTC
can you try gtklibs-2.10.6.4 which depends on xlib-7.0-r3 .. it should fix the problem.. please re-open if it doesnt
Comment 4 Thomas Capricelli 2006-11-23 17:25:13 UTC
i updated (emerge --sync) 10minutes ago, and the latest one is only :
app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-gtklibs-2.10.6.3

still, i've updated to this, and it works.
