latex2html is currently used in ebuilds. as far as docbook support i think last version when docbook support worked in lyx was some 1.2 or so. are you able to work with lyx+docbook? docbook useflag added to lyx 1.6 ebuild i think we can close this, since 1.6 is in tree.
