No, thanks. Nothing depends on x11-libs/openmotif-2.1* and it should just die. I disagree. Motif-2.1 API is the most widely deployed and stable Motif API (covered by the commercial Motif, OpenMotif, and LessTif). Not to mention 2.2 is a disaster in many respects (http://www.motifdeveloper.com/tips/tip22.html). In 2.3, many of the 2.2 shortcomings are being taken care of, but it's still beta (and, BTW, there are no 2.3 ebuilds either, even for tilde archs). Err, quite frankly the whole thing is a disaster. :P Anyway, no maintainer in Gentoo and we are not keen on bumping outdated stuff that has no dependencies. Sorry. |
