Since some kernel version (2.6.17 I believe) the webcam driver pwc.ko moved to another location causing the ebuild media-video/usb-pwc-re no longer overwriting the kernel provided pwc.ko. This is annoying since you assume that after emerging you are using the driver build by usb-pwc-re but in fact you are using the original one.

Choose if you want to use the external or internal one, collisions are not cool.
