Description Torsten Rehn 2006-11-01 06:59:10 UTC
On my system, I have the following situation:

/dev/hdc is the first harddisk, with some vfat and some ext2/3 partitions
/dev/hdd is the second harddisk which has - amongst others - some partitions encrypted using truecrypt (http://www.truecrypt.org).
These partitions are set up correctly, but do not have a readable file system since truecrypt really encrypts the whole partition.

I attempted to install gentoo on /dev/hdc using the LiveCD Installer and told it to do some partitioning on that drive. All changes were applied correctly, but then the install failed saying that there are partitions of an unknown type on /dev/hdd. However, I did not tell the installer to do anything on /dev/hdd. I'm sorry, but I can't provide the exact error message at this time.
This error occured when using the X-based GUI-Installer and the ncurses-text-thingy.
