I'll verify and mark stable later this evening assuming someone else doesn't beat me to it. It looks like we have some missing runtime dependencies: $ nuv2mpg test you have choosen to make a VCD compliant MPEG stream please notice that VBR MPEG streams can have the same visual quality with lower/low bitrates too (like divx) nuppelvideo file with w=352 and h=288 and fps=25.000000 frames=710 realframes=710 effdsp=44038.24 /usr/bin/nuv2mpg: line 8: toolame: command not found /usr/bin/nuv2mpg: line 9: exportvideo: command not found /usr/bin/nuv2mpg: line 10: mplex: command not found Press enter for making a BIN and CUE file from your MPG file or Ctrl-C if you want a VCD compliant MPG file only. /usr/bin/nuv2mpg: line 18: vcdimager: command not found /usr/bin/nuv2mpg: line 25: unexpected EOF while looking for matching `"' /usr/bin/nuv2mpg: line 26: syntax error: unexpected end of file $ nuvedit test.nuv /usr/bin/nuvedit: line 3: exec: wish: not found $ nuv2vbr test.nuv you have choosen to make a VBR MPEG stream please notice that VBR MPEG streams cannot be burned to a VCD for use with a DVD player, if you want that use nuv2mpg this is only an example script you should edit it to your /usr/bin/nuv2vbr: line 13: mpeg2enc: command not found The nuvrec and nuvplay commands do work as expected. Maintainers, any comments on the missing rdeps ? (In reply to comment #4) > Maintainers, any comments on the missing rdeps ? Well, exportvideo is not in portage (seems nobody missed it so far) - added the rest, so it's a bit less broken now. Well, exportvideo seems to be nearly as old as nuppelvideo - last changes I can find were in 2001. Perhaps it would be time to mask this stuff instead of half-maintaining it? Opinions? Looking at it further, it is seems that nuv2mpg and nuv2vbr are semi-intended as example scripts. Thus I would shove them somewhere under /usr/share/nupplevideo as examples. For nuvedit, I would add the runtime dependency for wish. (possibly USE flag enabled/disabled) (In reply to comment #6) > Well, exportvideo seems to be nearly as old as nuppelvideo - last changes I can > find were in 2001. Perhaps it would be time to mask this stuff instead of > half-maintaining it? Opinions? If so, do it. x86 seems to be ok with that...readd us if you need more assistance. Hard-masked. # Patrick Kursawe <phosphan@gentoo.org> (06 Dec 2006) # Only partially working, see bug #153667 media-tv/nuppelvideo Reopening for removal, been broken for long enough. Thanks. Gone. |
