The current x86 stable version of dev-perl/Test-Exception (0.20) appears to be missing a dependency on module-build:

This is a fresh system with Perl 5.8.8 installed.  Manually installing module-build and then retrying Test-Exception worked.

1. emerges on x86
2. passes collision test
3. passes test suite
4. dev-perl/Tree-Simple emerges and passes tests with it

I also tested the 0.22 version, for this we would need the following packages stable:
dev-perl/Test-Exception-0.22
virtual/perl-Test-Simple-0.64
perl-core/Test-Simple-0.64
dev-perl/Sub-Uplevel-0.13

They all emerge fine on x86, pass collision test and test suite.
dev-perl/Tree-Simple also emerges with this.

 Thank you Markus, I can verify it and marked all four stable on x86.
