if exist loaded kernel module with name larger than 19 characters than when try
to call nvclock to set some video card parameters - aplication crashes.
(exception: module with long name appear in file /proc/modules after 'nvidia' or
'NVdriver' module)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. nvclock -f -n 100 -m 200
2.

Actual Results:  
nvclock: stack smashing attack in function check_driver()
Aborted


Expected Results:  
Requested memory clock:         200.000 MHz
Requested core clock:           100.000 MHz

Adjusted low-level clocks on a nVidia GeForceFX Go5200 32M/64M
Memory clock:   199.800 MHz
GPU clock:      99.900 MHz

Attached patch fixes this bug.

0.8_beta3 should fix this then, need a bump.

beta4 is in the tree. please reopen if the problem isn't fixed in the new version (as indicated in comment #4).
