I use ca_enhanced xkb layout and i need to use dead keys (a special key combo) to type special characters (ASCII 0x80 to 0x90) used in french language. Theses key combos works in all apps i use (kde, gnome, X) except openoffice. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set Layout = "ca_enhanced" in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb/X0-config.keyboard 2. Restart your X server, you will have some fun if you are used to us layout :-) 3. Launch any openoffice app (oowriter, oocalc, etc) 4. Try to type any of those characters (ç,è,à,ê,ë,â,Ä,î,ä) Actual Results: I got (c,e,a,e,e,a,A,i,a) Expected Results: Im supposed to be able to type those characters used in french language (ç,è,à,ê,ë,â,Ä,î,ä) From "emerge -s openoffice * app-office/openoffice-bin Latest version available: 1.0.1 Latest version installed: 1.0.1 I've done emerge sync on 2003/02/08 and then, i've emerged openoffice-bin you wanna try this with oepnoffice 1.0.2? Easy workaround, just look at http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=37383&highlight=french+keyboard+problem+openoffice try openoffice 1.0.3, invalid |
