vigraqt-0.3.2.ebuild
Please find attached an initial ebuild for VigraQt 0.3.2.
The USE flag "python" is commented out in the ebuild because the package did not compile with python enabled.
I could maintain it (I am the VigraQt author) - is there some "Howto become a Gentoo maintainer" page? (Yes, I have written some ebuilds in the past.) (In reply to comment #2) > I could maintain it (I am the VigraQt author) - is there some "Howto become a > Gentoo maintainer" page? (Yes, I have written some ebuilds in the past.) In this case the proxy-maint[1] project could be what you are looking for: Maintain a single ebuild without the need to do the extra work to become a Gentoo developer[2]. I CC'ed antarus, who is the leader of the proxy-maint project -- I hope he can give a guideline how to proceed. [1] http://dev.gentoo.org/~antarus/projects/proxy-maint/ [2] http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/devrel/handbook/handbook.xml?part=1&chap=2 I found the solution for me. acer_acpi 0.11.2 did not compile for me because I had enabled ACER_WMI in the 2.6.25 kernel. I thought that was a prerequisite for acer_acpi to be able to function, but reading Documentation/laptops/acer-wmi.txt it turns out that: "acer-wmi is a driver to allow you to control various parts of your Acer laptop hardware under Linux which are exposed via ACPI-WMI. This driver completely replaces the old out-of-tree acer_acpi, which I am currently maintaining for bug fixes only on pre-2.6.25 kernels. All development work is now focused solely on acer-wmi." So I have switched to acer-wmi and will not need acer_acpi anymore. I'm sorry, please disregard the last post. (this is an automated message based on filtering criteria that matched this bug) 'EBUILD' is in the KEYWORDS which should mean that there is a ebuild attached to this bug. This bug is assigned to maintainer-wanted which means that it is not in the main tree. Heuristics show that no Gentoo developer has commented on your ebuild. Hello, The Gentoo Team would like to firstly thank you for your ebuild submission. We also apologize for not being able to accommodate you in a timely manner. There are simply too many new packages. Allow me to use this opportunity to introduce you to Gentoo Sunrise. The sunrise overlay[1] is a overlay for Gentoo which we allow trusted users to commit to and all users can have ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs for entry into the overlay. So, the sunrise team is suggesting that you look into this and submit your ebuild to the overlay where even *you* can commit to. =) Because this is a mass message, we are also asking you to be patient with us. We anticipate a large number of requests in a short time. Thanks, On behalf of the Gentoo Sunrise Team, Jeremy. [1]: http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/sunrise/ [2]: http://overlays.gentoo.org/proj/sunrise/wiki/SunriseFaq Its in my dev-space for a reason, eg its not official. Sunrise is your best bet for starters. -A Upstream looks dead and we want to avoid adding new Qt 4-based packages. |
