Selecting driver from foomatic-db makes printing not working. When you try to print something nothing happens - the printer remains silent.
In the error log file of cups: /var/log/cups/error_log one can find something like this:

PID 28943 stopped with status 22!
I [22/Oct/2006:13:12:47 +0200] Hint: Try setting the LogLevel to "debug" to find
 out more.

It's hard to find the problem reason after setting the LogLevel to debug.
Driver form gimp-print for the printer works.
foomatic-db version: 20050910.

Try version 20060720 please. I am handling stabilization in bug 141977
