In the postinstall message for the latest phpmyadmin it says:

cp /var/www/<hostname>/htdocs/phpmyadmin/config.inc.php /var/www/<hostname>/htdocs/phpmyadmin/config/

That should read:

cp /var/www/<hostname>/htdocs/phpmyadmin/libraries/config.default.php /var/www/<hostname>/htdocs/phpmyadmin/config/config.inc.php

I thought I already fixed this before... It could be a change between 2.8.2 and 2.9.0.2, I'm not sure. Anyways, this works for 2.9.0.2
