Description Dario Pedicini 2006-10-19 10:50:01 UTC
Hi,
I'd like to install this software on a local apache server, but the installation process it's quite messy.
Would anyone make an ebuild for it?
Thanks!

Would be nice to add some description at least... :)

Ok, sorry, I'm still not too good with bugzilla :)

Parlement is a multi-purpose collaborative portal (blog, online journal, chat, self-moderated forum, automatic mailing list) incredibly simple to use and configure and, especially, based on Direct Democracy principles: everyone can "vote" for each message. Also, you can create infinite sublevels for your message -so generating your own blog/forum/chat room inside the portal- and you can subscribe to a message as you would do with a common mailing list. It's written in Ruby-on-trail.
The homepage where you can see a working copy is here:
http://leparlement.org. The URL above instead links to the freshmeat page, with codes and everything.
This wonderful, simple, complete software would be very useful to build a democratic web community (that's why I need it!).
Thanks!

seems this request hasn't turned into an ebuild yet. If you want to help with it, it's not that hard to write one: http://devmanual.gentoo.org/quickstart/index.html

If you need further help, feel free to ask on forums or #gentoo-dev-help or #gentoo-sunrise on irc (latter is also useful if you want to maintain the app yourself)

note: we're not turning you down for this request in any way, it's just that we don't have ressources to fix all of them. though if you're willing to help, it would be more than nice to do so, as that is what we definately need :)
