xorg.conf
I forgot to mention in the original post that I'm using KDE. So, what are you exactly requesting here? There's no error in Xorg.log. Your monitor is misconfigured, set HorizSync and VertRefresh to values that it can handle. I've had these settings for 6 years. It worked until yesterday. The only thing that changed was the upgrade to 7.1. Yes, my car worked for 6 years and it doesn't any more. Did you actually even try anything (like running xorgconfig) before filing a bug? This isn't a support forum. (In reply to comment #7) > Yes, my car worked for 6 years and it doesn't any more. Did you actually even > try anything (like running xorgconfig) before filing a bug? Xorg.8.log
I actually re-ran xorgcfg, runs and then goes blank.
Here's the log.
I think half way through the log I can see it getting the monitor settings itself.
I have the exact same symptons. Upgrading to the masked version x11-drivers/xf86-video-mga-1.4.2 did solve the issue for me. Apperently x11-drivers/xf86-video-mga-1.4.1-r1 is broken for mga G400 cards My card: (--) PCI:*(1:0:0) Matrox Graphics, Inc. G400/G450 rev 5, Works for me too. Thanks for the info. *** Bug 151992 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Everyone's stable on a newer version now, so closing. |
