Comment 1 Spider (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-02-05 01:33:45 UTC
did you forget to re-edit /usr/portage/profiles/package.mask after updating the tree with emerge [r]sync?

this is the expected behaviour in such a case.
Comment 2 Sam Cole 2003-02-05 09:57:53 UTC
Nope, because I never edited it in the first place. I do have ~x86 in my ACCEPT_KEYWORDS though.
Comment 3 Spider (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-02-05 16:35:34 UTC
1) how did you install xchat-2 ?

2)
sh> grep xchat /usr/portage/profiles/package.mask
Comment 4 Sam Cole 2003-02-05 17:20:29 UTC
Just an emerge rsync and emerge -u world
#grep x86 /usr/portage/net-irc/xchat/xchat-2.0.0_pre1-r1.ebuild
