This solves the problem. (?)

I just upgraded Gnome from 2.14 to 2.16 and it *removed* the users "haldaemon" and "messagebus" from my system completely. Eh, that's nice but you need to give us some steps to reproduce the problem... :) There's NO code in the ebuilds to remove the users... I have NO clue how that could happen. Without some steps to reproduce or show how you installed hal... cause the only way it would skip installing the group would be a hand installs and skipping a step. |
