Bug 151168 – konqueror problems with gif images

konqueror does not show gif images

gif was not is included in USE flags. After adding 'gif' in USE flags i recompiled qt-3.3.6-r1 but it did not help

did an 
emerge --update --newuse world

after USE flag modification but still no luck...

Kindly run emerge -NuDpv world; reopen with emerge --info and konqueror version if it still doesn't work then.

Bugzilla freezing on me... So again - konqueror has no gif use flag, no wonder that recompiling it doesn't solve anything... :)

emerge -NuDav world did compile imlib2 with gif support enabled.
i did not reboot yet. konqueror restart did not change anything...

BTW.: its KDE-3.5.5

SOLVED!
Rebooting resolved the problems with gif images in konqueror.

Nevertheless, it is still unclear why this all happened and whether the recompilations of gif enabled packages did in fact solve the problem...
