As most of the users who install Gentoo PPC on Macintosh computers have interest in accessing HFS/HFS+ partitions, I think there should be a note that it would be a good idea to enable them when using genkernel.

For example:
Note that, if you want to access your HFS or HFs+ partitions, you might consider adding them as kernel modules with genkernel --menuconfig all

We already mention using --menuconfig all. And we already mention HFS support in the "manual kernel config" section.
