Bug 150443 – sys-apps/portage-2.1.3.9: PORTAGE_ELOG_MAILFROM needs domain

Specifying PORTAGE_ELOG_MAILFROM="root" at my system results in:

>>> Regenerating /etc/ld.so.cache...
>>> net-misc/neon-0.26.1-r1 merged.
"!!! An error occured while trying to send logmail:\n(553, '5.5.4 <root>... Domain name required for sender address root', 'root')"
>>> Recording net-misc/neon in "world" favorites file...

whereas the definition PORTAGE_ELOG_MAILFROM="root@localhost" works. What about appending "@localhost" automatically if no domain was specified ?

(BTW the implementation of the ELOG feature to mail such things is one of the best ideas of the Gentoo devs in the last time IMHO - thanks.)

This may be fixed in portage-2.1.2, please check with that version and report back.

Even w/ sys-apps/portage-2.1.3.9 the issue isn't fixed :-(

Sorry, had completely forgotten about this. I changed the default MAILFROM to portage@localhost now.
