The double python-2.3.5 in emerge --info is due to me interrupting the merge at the point is was to delete r2, because i had forgotten to write down the error before turning --as-needed off.

Could you explain why should we mess with 2.3.5 when 2.4.3 is stable everywhere?

Don't know, for some reason it's still pulled in by some packages. Even they can use the newer one. I just "automaticly" file bugs for things like this.

Would make sense to report bugs about these packages instead, I guess? :)
