Hi,

After an "emerge -v --update --deep world", openssl was updated to version 0.98d.

I then tried to access some svn repository with:

svn co https://svn.gridsphere.org/gridsphere/tags/RELEASE_2_2_4 gridsphere

I received this error message:

svn: PROPFIND request failed on '/gridsphere/tags/RELEASE_2_2_4'
svn: PROPFIND of '/gridsphere/tags/RELEASE_2_2_4': SSL negotiation failed: SSL disabled due to library version mismatch (https://svn.gridsphere.org)

I checked my svn version:

svn --version

svn, version 1.3.2 (r19776)
   compiled Sep  4 2006, 08:54:53


Obviously compilation time is older than openssl compilation time (ebuild openssl changelog says: *openssl-0.9.8d (28 Sep 2006)).


I solved this issue by forcing reinstallation of subversion with:

emerge -v subversion

Now svn --version gives me:

svn, version 1.3.2 (r19776)
   compiled Oct  4 2006, 10:20:04


and 

svn co https://svn.gridsphere.org/gridsphere/tags/RELEASE_2_2_4 gridsphere

does the right thing with no error.


I think there is some missing dependency between openssl and subversion: when
I did "emerge -v --update --deep world", subversion should have been
recompiled automatically because of the new openssl version.

Closing, openssl ebuild notifies you about revdep-rebuild being needed.
