openssl fails with -ffast-math
In my case this is visible with firefox or thunderbird, which both coredump.

Sigh, over and over again - don't stick -ffast-math into your C[XX]FLAGS, it's a stupid global flag.

man gcc:

-ffast-math

This option should never be turned on by any -O option since it can result in incorrect output for programs which depend on an exact implementation of IEEE or ISO rules/specifications for math functions.

ive got a great idea ... dont use -ffast-math globally
