sys-apps/pcsc-lite-1.3.2 comes with /etc/reader.conf.d/reader.conf but /etc/conf.d/pcscd does not set the file. please change /etc/conf.d/pcscd to PCSCD_OPTS="-c /etc/reader.conf.d/reader.conf"

Hello,

You should use:
update-reader.conf

In order to build /etc/reader.conf out of /etc/reader.conf.d.

This is the standard way to handle /etc/reader.conf.

Ohh, thanks for the info. Thought update-reader.conf is just a cli frontend for creating reader.conf.

Suggestion: Maybe you can create a man-page for update-reader.conf?
