Hi,

it looks like that since September, 21 the beta version of nvidia-drivers 9625 is out, see http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_downloads_linux_display_x86_1.0-9625.html

It adds an initial support for the long awaited GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap.
