Wrong. We use 0.20 so we can use SVN snapshot fixes straight from the release-0.20-fixes branch. jakub: You might get more of these... be aware. well, mythplugins-0.20.tar.bz2 is unavailable via any of the download locations. any suggestions for those of us who didn't get the tarball earlier before it was pulled? currently, i'm sort of stuck with mythtv at 0.20, and the plugins still at 0.19 (which probably isn't a very good idea). to answer my own question, mythplugins-0.20.tar.bz2 does not exist in the source uri given in the mythtv.eclass, however, it does exists in http://gentoo.osuosl.org/distfiles. updating SOURCE_URI to that value makes everything happy. perhaps the ebuild needs to be updated with the new SOURCE_URI? emerge --info Geeez, don't CC me on these bugs. I have no idea whether you patched the plugins or not. If you don't wish to receive reports about bugfix releases, write a maintainers guide and describe it there. Otherwise, I have enough bugspam in my mailbox as it is, don't need mythtv ones in addition, thanks. http://www.rafb.net/paste/results/J5kc5q54.html Net result. Chutt won't fix his error. I'm not hacking it because it screws everything up. But it's entirely besides the point that MythTV is broken as it is and every release needs a series of patches to even have it close to working. End result. download http://ftp.osuosl.org/pub/mythtv/mythplugins-0.20-old.tar.bz2 call it mythplugins-0.20.tar.bz2 sorry, my original bug description was unclear, should've said that due to a myth bug, there's now the 0.20a. i'm sorry if i caused any grief to the maintainers, i usually log bugs (and try to find workarounds) so there's a documented workaround for others, which hopefully will make less work for the maintainers. but, i modified the source uri as mentioned, plugins compiled. i'm out of town, so i can't tell if they actually work :) will try to get the emerge --info tonight if it's still needed.... The thing is, it should use the mirror by default and only if a mirror doesn't have it. Then it will use the upstream URL. Since we've gone to a new mirror system, it will by default use distfiles.gentoo.org and then ftp.osuosl.org. So basically you have a custom mirror that's behind since that file has been uploaded to the mirror system over 2 weeks ago. Soo... what mirror do you use? (In reply to comment #9) > The thing is, it should use the mirror by default and only if a mirror doesn't > have it. Then it will use the upstream URL. Soo... what mirror do you use? > it looked like it was trying http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/gentoo/distfiles/ before it tried osuosl.org... Fixed with upstream and also my change to no longer depend on upstream for tarballs. I'll mirror them all. |
