Bug 148884 – hardware autodetection hang on 2006.1 amd64 LiveCD

The motherboard is a biostar GeForce 6100AM2 for 940 pin amd64 am2 procesors;
it will help if we can interact and chose wich device we want to be autodetected.
I skip autodetection and it hang with the xserver, i skip the xserver, and i can't
login as root to fixit manualy.

Error messages, or even the last couple lines of output would help tremendously.

Also, a listing of the options that you tried on the kernel command line would help us quite a bit, as there are lots of options that could potentially resovle this problem.

I have the same problem on an HP a1630n. It uses a board OEM'd from ASUS (A8M2N-LA). Using the graphical interface hangs after spitting out information on the mouse.  Using NOFB, hangs after talking about the disks.

The board successfully boots the AMD64 Livecd 2006.0.
