there are many "server" guides in gentoo documentation list yet none for BIND.

I personally would like to see one. it would be nice if it incorportates how to get dhcpd to update it. 

I know you are all very busy and there's no rush on this. keep up the good work ;-)

Do you have any drafts or a more focused/specific approach you'd like to see the document take?

Also, BIND is briefly touched upon in the security handbook[1] -- it's complex enough that we recommend going to upstream for their excellent documentation.

Well, nothing has happened on this bug in awhile, and a simple forum post isn't sufficient, though I do appreciate Paul's work.

Closing for now -- if anyone comes up with a document, feel free to post it to the bug. As it is, we link to the excellent external BIND documentation for a reason.
