Description Jon Nelson (RETIRED) 2002-04-02 16:05:32 UTC
But netscape also makes a navigator product, and most people I know prefer it
because it's less bloaty.

I have prepared a 'net-www/navigator' directory with a modified netscape
(communicator) ebuild - my request is to have netscape renamed communicator.

Submissions welcome :)

OK, question - a day or two ago, I created net-www/navigator
However, I have come to realize that it should be called
net-www/netscape-navigator, and the current netscape package should be renamed
to netscape-communicator. Is that appropriate and how might one go about
"removing" a package? Just de-populate all of the files in net-www/netscape and
re-populate in net-www/netscape-communicator?

Comment 3 Jon Nelson (RETIRED) 2002-04-09 20:48:20 UTC
I did just that.
Eventually, I'll port the netscape-base package from Debian, and have
netscape-{communicator,navigator} depend on that.

Tre-cool!
