Bug 148147 – root user password failure

during the installation of linux on the Live DVD on my computer the computer always had a critical system error when setting up the root user password causing the installation to fail and of course then nothing else was downloaded and linux cannot be put on my computer. i tried two different downloaded versions and several dvd cd's and came up with the same results every time
