-To make compile work, I had to unmerge old pwlib, and make sure that USE="-ssl" Hint: Please make huge posts as attachments... I get the same errors. # emerge info Portage 2.0.46-r2 (default-1.0, gcc-2.95.3, glibc-2.2.5-r2,2.2.5-r6) ================================================================= System uname: 2.4.19-ipv6-imzzo-coda i686 AuthenticAMD USE="x86 oss apm avi crypt cups jpeg libg++ mikmod mpeg ncurses qtmt quicktime spell xml2 xv berkdb bonobo esd gdbm gif gnome-libs gpm gtkhtml guile imlib java ldap libwww motif mozilla nls opengl pam png python qt readline scanner sdl slang ssl svga tcpd tetex tiff X gtk gtk2 gnome -alsa -arts 3dnow cdr encode kde mmx oggvorbis pdflib perl sse truetype xmms ipv6" ARCH="x86" COMPILER="" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-march=i686 -mcpu=i686 -O3 -pipe" CXXFLAGS="-march=i686 -mcpu=i686 -O3 -pipe" ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86 ~x86" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /var/qmail/control /usr/share/config /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/kde/3.1/share/config:/usr/kde/3/share/config:/usr/share/config" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/env.d" MAKEOPTS="-j3" JDK_HOME="/opt/blackdown-jdk-1.3.1" JAVA_HOME="/opt/blackdown-jdk-1.3.1" AUTOCLEAN="yes" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" GENTOO_MIRRORS="ftp://ftp.gtlib.cc.gatech.edu/pub/gentoo ftp://gentoo.linux.no/pub/gentoo ftp://ftp.oregonstate.edu/pub/gentoo http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/gentoo" As a side note, pwlib wasn't on any of those mirrors, and ibiblio was uselessly slow. Had to fetch pwlib manually. You shouldn't need to specify -ssl but making sure that pwlib and openh323 are upgraded cleanly and uninstalling previous versions BEFORE installing the new versions is good practice. I have had no problems with these builds on multiple x86 systems using gcc3... maybe this is a building problem with gcc2? Okay, how do i force usage of gcc 3.2? On a side note, is there a way to remove the HUGE message here with the errors? I am dial up and it takes well over a minute to fetch. Perhaps it can be re-added as an attachment. I care about this bug, but I won't load this up again with such a huge body, it is a pain. Same problem here : It looks like when upgrading from pwlib-1.3.11-r1 to pwlib-1.4.7; pwlib is using headers from the old version; this is really broken ! epm -qf /usr/include/ptlib/ pwlib-1.3.11-r1 every self-including header-file causing error is in this directory; so emerge is using old headers to compil the new library ??? Portage 2.0.46-r11 (default-1.0, gcc-2.95.3, glibc-2.2.5-r2,2.2.5-r7) ================================================================= System uname: 2.4.19-gentoo-r10 i686 Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.40GHz GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://gentoo.oregonstate.edu/ http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/Lin ux/distributions/gentoo" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /var/qmail/control /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/X11R6/lib/X 11/xkb /usr/kde/3.1/share/config /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/share/config" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/env.d" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="" USE="x86 oss apm avi crypt cups encode jpeg libg++ libwww mikmod mmx mpeg ncurse s pdflib qtmt quicktime spell truetype xml2 xmms xv arts berkdb gdbm gif gnome-l ibs gpm gtk guile imlib java kde ldap motif nls oggvorbis opengl pam png python qt readline sdl slang ssl tcpd X -3dnow aalib acpi alsa bonobo dga dvd esd evo g b gd ggz gnome gphoto2 gps gtk2 gtkhtml innodb ipv6 jikes junit lcms libgda mbox mozilla mysql nas nocardbus oav pda perl pic plotutils postgres samba scanner s lp snmp sse -svga tcltk tiff wmf xface xml zlib" COMPILER="" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-march=i686 -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" CXXFLAGS="-march=i686 -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" MAKEOPTS="-j2" AUTOCLEAN="yes" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" FEATURES="sandbox ccache" I have put a warning into the ebuild. Unmerge prior versions of pwlib before installing this build, basically. |
