I believe this has been fixed upstream, upstream are due to release GStreamer 0.10.10 and gst-plugins-base 0.10.10 very soon now, so please try them when they get in portage (next 2-3 days). Ping, can you try with latest gstreamer and gst-plugins-base (In reply to comment #2) > Ping, can you try with latest gstreamer and gst-plugins-base > I have the exact same problem with gstreamer/gst-plugins-base -0.10.11 and totem 2.16.4/2.17.3 though I have the problem with 5.1 AAC files from apple trailers. OSS works but ALSA doesn't. I tested to launch it via "gst-launch" and it fails too. mplayer and vlc downmixes to 2ch. for example: http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox/fantasticfourriseofthesilversurfer/hd/ there is no speech when the the guy getting married shouts "Jonny" and he should answer "I just bought this tux". similar bug at upstream: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398196 This should be fixed in >=gst-plugins-ugly-0.10.5 Ugh.. sorry for spam, but this actually seems to be a new upstream issue. Is this still valid with current plugins in ~arch? gst-plugins-bad-0.10.5, gst-plugins-ugly-0.10.6.. gst-plugins-base-0.10.14? |
