kaffeine 8.2 has been released and just renaming the ebuild to kaffeine-8.2 works here. Even if I don't see any report of a similar issue in the bugfix I would suggest you to try out on the latest version (move the ebuild in portage overlay and rename), as it will be probably in portage in some days. Probably simultaneously when I was writing Flameeyes committed in portage.... just sync and try 8.2 . Upgraded to 0.8.2, no change. It works for me with ffmpeg 20061016. Can you please try with that one?
