Description Peter Kerwien 2006-09-08 14:04:12 UTC
After updating to proftpd-1.3.0-r1, ftpwho does no show any transfer progress. It is because the scoreboard file, is not updated with xfer done info. The problem seems to be connected to the --enable-sendfile option. If proftpd is compiled with --disable-sendfile, transfer progress is updated again during transfers.

The problem also exists on the amd64 platform.

Comment 1 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-09-08 14:36:01 UTC
Well, sendfile is enabled by default, you should bug upstream if it's broken.

You can stick this into the ebuild and re-introduce the flag, should work.

<snip>
# sendfile needs to be explicitely disabled as well
use sendfile || myconf="${myconf} --disable-sendfile"
</snip>
Comment 2 Peter Kerwien 2006-09-08 15:05:30 UTC
OK, reported it upstream: http://bugs.proftpd.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2838

Let's see if this is a proftpd bug or if it should behave like this...
Comment 3 Peter Kerwien 2006-09-10 11:19:00 UTC
Normal behaviour. Changing to INVALID.
