If you try to emerge gimp-print-cups-4.23.8 without having the foomatic ebuild  
merged, the "make install" part fails, because the FOOMATIC_* variables in the  
Makefile are empty. The ebuild should either state foomatic as a dependency or  
set up a USE variable for it.
