dhcpcd is a client only daemon and does not have an init script.

dhcp is a dhcp server and client which does have an init script called dhcpd. What version of dhcp do you have installed?

Also, please attach your dhcpd.conf, /etc/conf.d/dhcpd and /etc/conf.d/net files.
