It's a parallel make error. Try setting MAKEOPTS to -j1 , remove your portage tmpdir, and re-emerge. (In reply to comment #3) > It's a parallel make error. The compilation error occurs after installing a Samsung printer driver (in my case Samsung SCX-4x21) from the manufacturer CD. The Samsung installation set a link /usr/lib/libqt-mt.so.3 to /usr/lib/libqt-mt.samsung-mfp.so.3.0.4 which caused the compilation error.
