No new ebuild needed: copy net-analyzer/ethereal/ethereal-0.9.1.ebuild to net-analyzer/ethereal/ethereal-0.9.3.ebuild ------------- change from 0.9.1 ------------------------- Ethereal 0.9.3 has been released. This version fixes problems revealed by the PROTOS test suite that were uncovered after the 0.9.2 release. This release addresses all of the security advisories listed on the Ethereal web site. All users are encouraged to upgrade. Error checking while reading various trace files was enhanced. Other improvements were made to the VMS TCPIPTRACE and libpcap/tcpdump file reading code. The pkt-from-core.py utility also received improvements. Support for SCCP XDMCP has been added. Updated protocols include 802.11, CGMP, COPS, DCE RPC, DEC spanning tree, DIAMETER, EAP, EAPOL, IEEE spanning tree, L2TP, LDP, M2PA, M3UA, NETLOGON, NFS, NFS, Q.931, RADIUS, RARP, RSVP, SCCP, SCSI, SIP, Skinny, SAMR, SMB, SMPP, SNMP, SOCKS, SPOOLSS, SSL, TPKT, UCP, and VRRP. Ethereal 0.9.2 has been released. This version fixes problems in the SNMP and LDAP dissectors revealed by the PROTOS test suite. The SCTP checksum code for CRC32C was updated to match the new (version 3) draft specification. Additionally, the layout of the capture dialog was vastly improved. NCP type 0x2222 packet type support was added to the randpkt utility, and a script to recreate packets from core dumps (pkt-from-core.py) was added to the source distribution. SNA over Ethernet and HiPath HDLC support was added. Dissectors receiving updates include 802.11w, 802.11, AARP, AFS, ARP, COPS, DCE RPC, EAP/EAPOL, GIOP, ICQ, iSCSI/SCSI, ISIS, LAPD, LDAP, M3UA, NBNS, NDMP, OSPF, Q.931, RADIUS, Raw IP, RX, SDB, SMB, SNMP, SSL, TCP, TPKT, UCP, WSP, and YP. Support for the AiroPeek and pflog file formats was also enhanced.
