Bug 145326 – module-init-tools fail with -pie because some binaries are built statically

In bug #46367 an issue with AMD64 and the GCC option -pie is described which has been resolved by using GCC 3.4, which is true, for in my stable chroot with GCC 3.4.6 there is no error with CFLAGS="-pie".  But on my normal system with GCC 4.1.1 I get the following message, which disappears when removing -pie:
