Description Paul Thompson 2003-01-24 23:24:29 UTC
Hi;

emerge -p gfontview wanted to install cups, hotplug, and usb stuff.
This seems to result from the virtual/lpr dependancy. I installed it
manually with ebuild without cups and friends.
It built and installed ok.
It doesnt work very well, but I dont know if thats because I didnt
install cups, or its just disfunctional(I would be more inclined to blame my
lack of gnome) (The application runs, but it doesnt handle quite a few
of my fonts)
Anyway, Im dubious of this dependency....

Paul
Anyway,

emerged gfontview-0.5.0-r4 with no problems.
Seems to work fine, and I dont have cups, etc. installed.
