Description takken 2006-08-21 12:26:49 UTC
Every time I try the unstable nvidia-kernel driver, I find that my TV-OUT image is severely corrupted. The upper half of the TV screen is filled with gray horizontal flickering lines, the bottom half is black.

Today, I tried nvidia-kernel-1.0.8762-r1 and the problem is still the same, both when using a TwinView setup and when using two seperate X screens.

The problem disappears as soon as I downgrade nvidia-kernel and nvidia-glx to stable (1.0.6629-r6 ATM) and restart X.

My video card is GeForce-2 MX.

Please, report this to nVidia. We can't fix binary stuff.
Comment 2 takken 2006-08-21 12:56:57 UTC
Yes, I know. It's just for the record.
Comment 3 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-11-09 03:03:08 UTC
Please, try w/ nvidia-drivers-1.0.8776 and newer.
Comment 4 takken 2006-11-09 03:46:03 UTC
I tried all new nvidia drivers, including the latest beta (9626). None of these have a working TV-OUT on my setup. The old 6xxx and 7xxx driver series work perfectly though.

The issue is being discussed here:
