Hello all, 

I know this is a kind of weird but Gentoo is currently unusable on the Asus P5B and P5B Deluxe motherboards (and other distributions too) due to the fact that there is a bug in the linux kernel regarding the JMicron controller. (It is unable to load the filesystem) A fix has been introduced to, for as far as I am aware, please implant it in the Gentoo 2006.1 LiveCD as we really need it here!

If it's not useable in *any* Linux distribution, then it's not a Gentoo bug. Go complain to the manufacturer. Otherwise, post the needed information and the fix here and reopen then.
