hello,

if i close all instances of xchat and then i issue the following command:

xchat-remote-2 --url=irc://irc.freenode.net/gentoo

xchat is not launched automatically as expected.

same problem of course with other channels/servers.

perhaps the problem is due to the naming convention of the commands in gentoo: xchat/xchat-2, xchat-remote/xchat-remote-2.

Yep, xchat-remote invokes plain xchat and not xchat-2, hence it fails. I'm fixing this with a patch now, but I'm considering dropping xchat-1 completely and the issue will then no longer exist.
